Our Small little garden

So Tom and I have been talking about our "future" when he finishes school and both of us decided, after watching and reading about the industrialization of food, that we want to have a garden. Since we have to live in an apartment for the next couple years we don't have a yard to grow a garden, so we decided to try our hand at growing something on our little porch. We wanted to do something a little more adventurous than an herb garden, so we went with a "Salsa Garden". The goal is to grow the main ingredients for us to be able to make home made salsa. Tom thought that we had enough sunlight on our porch, but after we had already bought the plants we found out we didn't..... So now we get to see if they like to grow in the shade! We bought a tomato plant, a red bell pepper plant, a mexi-pepper plant, and some cilantro seeds. Here's what they look like. (The next post will probably show them dead from having no sun...)
